Storetown Media – A success-story
It all actually started in 1997. The founder, Jan-Hendrik Kummert , was studying in Kiel and immediately became passionate about web design, online shops, and SEO. But all professors, look away now: he dedicated 90% of his studies to the then-new medium of the internet.
What began as a passion quickly became a profession. After years of experience in various agencies and his own projects, Storetown Media was founded in Tornesch near Hamburg in 2012 .
Since then, the agency has evolved from a one-man operation into an experienced team of developers, designers and marketing specialists – with over 120 completed projects , 9 co-founded startups and up to 250% annual growth for client shops.
Studies in Kiel, first web projects. Webdesign-Kummert : WordPress, Joomla, VirtueMart & Magento 1 websites and shops. Google AdWords campaigns.
Storetown Media was founded in Tornesch. Focus: E-commerce with Magento and WooCommerce.
Growth to a permanent team. First enterprise projects with Magento 2. ERP integrations with SAP and Microsoft Dynamics.
Shopware 6 added to the portfolio. Over 80 completed projects. 9 successful startup co-founders.
