We have been working with Hermann Meyer KG for about four years. At that time, a Magento 1 shop was launched for their B2C business.

Magento product view with accessories, PayPal Express integration, "Checkout" button for one-page checkout
At the beginning of the year, a Magento 2 migration was on the agenda, meaning a 1:1 transfer of the old shop to Magento 2. While this sounds simple at first, Magento 2 features a completely redesigned software architecture, making it not a "normal" update but a complete migration to a new shop system with new features.
First, the The proven design from the old shop will be adopted.. Easily manageable with our self-programmed, fast and clean-coded basic template.
Since Meyer himself uploads the products via CSV import The groundwork had to be laid for this, meaning the necessary product attributes had to be created and a basic matrix built with the attributes required by Magento. Here, as with Magento 1, we were able to rely on the developers at Magebees and their "Products Import/Export Extenson".
Furthermore, it should be possible to all orders into the ERP System or ERP system to export all essential data, both manually and automatically via FTP.
Other functions taken over include the One-page checkout for a fast, customer-oriented ordering process, integration of the payment provider Telecash and Paypal / Paypal Express.

The Magento 2 Ajax Shopping Cart optimizes the average order quantity.
A new feature is the "Ajax Shopping Cart". This allows products to be displayed on the category page, homepage, or other pages. CMS Add the product directly to your shopping cart. The best part: recommended items that customers have previously ordered together are also automatically displayed. This significantly increases the average order value.
Additional features: Product feed creation for Google Shopping directly in the backend with a click individual transactional emails in the design of Hermann Meyer KG including PDFs, Recaptcha for spam protection and much more
