Initially, we faced the challenge of selecting the right online shop system for our e-commerce project. Thanks to the in-depth consultation provided by Storetown-Media (a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Kummert), we ultimately chose Magento – a very advantageous decision, as it turned out.
A key factor in this choice was Magento's ability to manage multiple shops, meaning that multiple shops can be administered through a single user interface.
This variety of Magento shops allows us to offer identical or completely different products at different prices. This enables us to operate the same shop for both B2B and B2C customers, with only the pricing differing.
Furthermore, Magento offers the possibility of using different designs for identical products and prices. For example, we use a different design for Germany than for the rest of Europe.
Ultimately, the decision to use Magento proved to be extremely positive. The integration of Channelpilot allowed us to increase our presence on various price comparison websites, in particular. idealo and guenstiger.de, significantly increase and successfully position our shop in the market.
