As e-commerce manager at "L. Küchenwelt", I was faced with the task of renewing our existing online shop and regarding Performance to optimize user-friendliness and functionality. For the technical implementation, we chose Magento, due to its flexibility and expandability, and chose Storetown-Media as our implementation partner.

The project began with an intensive analysis phase in which Storetown-Media evaluated our existing processes and the architecture of the online shop. Initially, we faced the challenge of selecting the right online shop system for our e-commerce project. Thanks to the in-depth consultation by Storetown-Media (A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Kummert), our choice finally fell – and as it turned out, very advantageously – on Magento.

A key factor in this choice was Magento's ability to manage multiple shops, meaning that multiple shops can be administered through a single user interface.

This variety of Magento shops allows us to offer identical or completely different products at different prices. This enables us to operate the same shop for both B2B and B2C customers, with only the pricing differing.

Furthermore, Magento offers the possibility of using different designs for identical products and prices. For example, we use a different design for Germany than for the rest of Europe.

Ultimately, the decision to use Magento proved to be extremely positive. The integration of Channelpilot allowed us to increase our presence on various price comparison websites, in particular. idealo and guenstiger.de, significantly increase and successfully position our shop in the market.
